Hi friends! I was a social worker at heart before I even knew what that really meant. I graduated with my Master's in Social Work from USC School of Social Work. This experience was the most challenging, but most valuable one of my life. Being a social worker pushes me to become a better person everyday. I have lived in Los Angeles for 25 years, but my profession has allowed me to see the city with a new and improved perspective. Driving from West LA to parts of the city I've never heard of before and going into family homes couldn't be any more surreal. Sometimes I hate my job. Other days I am grateful for the experiences my work brings to me. There is no doubt that I'm underpaid and overworked. But every now and then you get through to a client ... and those moments make all the craziness worth it.

"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they are right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself and Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together" - Marilyn Monroe
