Hi friends! I was a social worker at heart before I even knew what that really meant. I graduated with my Master's in Social Work from USC School of Social Work. This experience was the most challenging, but most valuable one of my life. Being a social worker pushes me to become a better person everyday. I have lived in Los Angeles for 25 years, but my profession has allowed me to see the city with a new and improved perspective. Driving from West LA to parts of the city I've never heard of before and going into family homes couldn't be any more surreal. Sometimes I hate my job. Other days I am grateful for the experiences my work brings to me. There is no doubt that I'm underpaid and overworked. But every now and then you get through to a client ... and those moments make all the craziness worth it.
